Crime in the heart of the capital: the Trade Union House is under the leadership of a company of Russian origin
The scandal surrounding the union building in the heart of Kyiv continues to be the centre of media attention. On June 5, the headquarters of the federation of Ukrainian unions was forcibly blocked and its management was transferred to a company with a dubious reputation, KAMparitet. Journalists from Kyiv City News have conducted an investigation that revealed scandalous new details about the company and its links to former government officials and Russian structures.
The story shows how, after a long legal battle, the building was seized by outsiders, preventing unionists from returning to the office. Despite the lifting of the seizure by a court decision in May 2025, the company "KAMparitet" remained the manager, one of whose owners was an individual linked to Russia. This situation is of great concern, as misuse of state property and links with an aggressor country are specially unacceptable in time of war.... the Federation of Unions of Ukraine still can't access the building that belongs to them.
Why didn't ARMA [the The National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Managing Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes — ed.] follow due process? Has a company close to Russian entities really acquired one of the most iconic buildings in the center of the capital?
